marking your journey

Ever look over someone's shoulder who is studying his Bible and see a vast array of highlighter colors that jump of the page and nearly blind you?  My first thought is "wow, she's way beyond me"...and so I started using highlighters.  Makes me look like I get it now...  next step is to actually start to respond to what I have marked...
I find myself contemplating my service...as my sisters in Christ and I care for one of our own I am forced to really look at how I serve my neighbors.  I need to step out more...not just when I see them, but when I don't.  Not just when it is convenient, but when it's Inconvenient. And I need to continue on with the great commission...  As I serve others, do I really believe that my service is so infallible that they see Christ in me, when I don't even mention Him.  Yes, we are called to love our neighbor (and who IS that neighbor) but we are COMMANDED to make disciples.  THAT is the great commission.  So how do you make disciples if you don't tell people about Jesus after you love them? ouch.
